Travelin' Days

Oooooh, spring time is a-comin’! With almost all of my work for school finished (one last project- let’s be done already, team! Please! Really!), I have been stretching my travel legs a little. At the end of February, sick of the lame German weather and missing my coven lovin’, I booked an impromptu trip to Spain. My girl Kelsey has been living in La Zubia, just outside Granada, and we spent a night there and then kicked it in Granada for a few days. We rented a room in the Albayzin, the medieval part of the city first settled by the Moors- really cool windy little streets all over the hillside.

UGH, most amazing roof terrace

We also got our tourist on and visited the Alhambra. Worth it.

And we got our comfy pants on and ate some tapas. Okay, a lot of tapas. Served with wine. Much wine.

Thus, the comfy pants.

Spain so Spain-y.

Like, really.

I MEAN GIVE IT A REST ALREADY.

On the last day, Kelsey had work and I hiked around Sacramonte by myself. A gorgeous morning in Andalusia? Don’t mind if I doooo.

Ooh yeah, dem Sierra Nevadas.

So, I make it back on the most harrowing journey of ALL TIME OH MY GOSH HOW ARE PLANES DEEMED SAFE FOR HUMANS AND WHY DOES GERMANY HAVE A REPUTATION FOR PUNCTUALITY IF THEIR TRAINS DON’T RUN PROPERLY THAT’S WHAT I WANNA KNOW

Anyway.

Then my family came to visit. Yay! Yayayayay!

After a couple days in a maybe-too-hip-for-the-parentals part of Berlin, we struck out for Prague. From the train ride over the border to the incredible mix of architecture tucked around every little corner of the city, the Czech Republic is beautiful.

Kutna Hora, or as I call it, CUTE-na Hora!

Who knew Wes Anderson designed parts of Prague??

I know the Astronomical Clock is the most touristy thing, but... I LOVE IT. #Virgo4evr

Aaaand, okay, a little weird.

Just your average Ossuary. Super normal Bone Church.

And such a child-friendly city...

Does Prague even HAVE a dark side? No? I mean, I certainly don't see anything to support that theory.

But really, the architecture is incredible, the history is fascinating, and WOW, I just want to go back and explore more!

Maybe I will! Stay tuned.
